Washer not draining? 6 quick checks

Unplug first. Turn off water. Put towels down.

1. Clean the filter. Bottom access door: twist cap, drain into a pan, remove lint/coins.
2. Drain hose kink. Pull machine forward; make sure the hose isn’t crushed or clogged.
3. Coin trap. On some models separate from the filter — remove debris, screws, hairpins.
4. Pump impeller. Spin with a finger (power off). If seized/broken — pump needs replacing.
5. Lid/door switch. If the lock doesn’t click, the control may block drain/spin.
6. Control reset. Power off 2 min, then run “Drain & Spin”.
