Dryer runs but no heat — quick guide

Unplug (or turn off gas), clean lint filter and vent first.

1. Vent restriction. Warm, weak airflow = clogged vent. Test with hose disconnected (short run).
2. Settings. Make sure it’s not “Air Fluff/No Heat”.
3. Thermal fuse. Blown from overheat → no heat at all. Needs replacement + vent fix.
4. Gas: igniter/coils. Glows but no flame or cycles off quickly → bad coils/igniter.
5. Electric: heating element. Broken coil = no heat; look for tripped breaker (needs 240V).
6. Thermostats. High-limit cycling = poor airflow or failing stat.
